Telangana registers 15 fresh cases of COVID-19, death toll remains at 29

Fifteen fresh cases of COVID-19 were reported in Telangana on Thursday, taking the State’s total to 1,122 confirmed cases. The death toll remained at 29, with no fresh fatality reported in the last 24 hours. As many as 693 patients were discharged after recovery so far and 400 active confirmed cases are in the hospitals now, according to official status update. 

Director of Public Health and Family Welfare said that in view of Covid-19 global pandemic, the State of Telangana has strengthened surveillance, contact tracing and containment measures against the possible spread of disease. Twelve new positive cases were reported in GHMC area and three migrants also tested positive on Thursday.  

The three districts with zero positive cases till date are Warangal (Rural), Yadadri and Wanaparthy. The list of 22 districts in the State with zero positive cases since the past 14 days includes Karimnagar, Sircilla, Kamareddy, Mahbubnagar, Medak, Bhupalpally, Sangareddy, Nagarkurnool, Mulugu, Peddapally, Siddipet, Mahbubabad, Mancherial, Bhadradri, Vikarabad, Nalgonda, Asifabad, Khammam, Nizamabad, Adilabad, Suryapet and Narayanpet.
