Fifteen fresh cases of COVID-19 were reported in Telangana on Wednesday, taking the State’s total to 943 confirmed cases. The death toll rose to 24, with one fresh fatality reported in the last 24 hours. 194 patients were discharged after recovery so far and 725 active confirmed cases are in the hospitals now, according to official status update.
Director of Public Health and Family Welfare said that in view of Covid-19 global pandemic, the State of Telangana has strengthened surveillance, contact tracing and containment measures against the possible spread of disease.
New positive cases were reported from GHMC and nine districts. The tally of fresh cases included GHMC 10, Suryapet 3 and Gadwal 2. (eom)
